My coding journey begins after taking a Computer Programming for Healthcare course of my Master degree.
As a beginner of programming, we were asked to build simple programs for healthcare purpose with Python.
The whole course is self-learning because there were only 2 tutorials throughout the semester.
So I really struggle to complete the 2 assignments and 1 exam with minimal guidance (I would say there is no teacher, but an assessor).
Anyway, I completed this Python course and started to get interested in more coding.
I came across a free coding school called "42US" in Silicon Valley, which is sponsored by a French billionaire. They provide 4 weeks of basic programming training referred as "Piscine" (Swimming pool in French), with free tuition and dorms.
So under the excitement of this amazing finding, I applied for the school. I am so lucky because one American friend of mine just did the course and she gave me a lot of guidance and encouragement.
I managed to pass the online assessment!
I plan to go there next year because it will be difficult for me to take leave from work in 2017. I'll update more about the process later.
